Homies in the Mission
Homes for the Homies from Gloria Morán on Vimeo.
Cindy de Losa uses Homies in her 3D art works. It's a way for her to remember her SF neighborhood, the Mission, how it was when she grew up. The Mission has since become less Latino dominant.
David Gonzales started drawing Homies comic strips for Lowrider Magazine in 1978. He went on to sell tees and toy Homies. You can find him on Facebook.
